DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRESCRIPTION LEAD GLASSES
Prescription glasses are referred to as those which
contain the prescription lens as per the suggestion of the eye doctor or any
other visual specialist. The
prescription lenses are advised by the doctor to the user to serve the purpose
of correction of vision if any.
People in huge numbers use these prescription lenses.
They bring ease and comfort to a person's eyes by providing them with what they
require.
For example- If a person is working on a laptop or
computers for a prolonged period, the eye doctor might suggest them to use
Computer Glasses. This is an instance showing the example of prescribed
glasses.
The three prominent types of prescription glasses that
are mostly used and provided on the availability of prescription from the
doctors are:
1- SINGLE
VISION:
These types of lenses and glasses are used by
people who have difficulty in watching the thing. These are used in cases of
both nearsightedness and farsightedness. The different types of lens (convex
and concave) are used in combination.
2-
BIFOCAL LENSES:
These types of lenses contain two different types of
lenses in combination with the treatment of a mixed condition. The variety of both
lenses is used in the treatment of conditions like presbyopia.
Presbyopia is a medical condition that is a
combination of both myopia and hypermetropia. In this condition, a person faces
the loss of vision of both near as well as far objects.
3- PROGRESSIVE
LENSES:
These types of lenses contain the lenses in different
combination. They are used for the treatment of all three fields related to
vision, i.e. near, intermediate, and far. They provide the user comfort to
watch things placed everywhere irrespective of distance.
These were the main types of glasses that are used
prominently on the prescription by the doctor. Apart from them, there are other
types of glasses too, which can be used by people with or without a
prescription from the doctor. The other glasses are Computer glasses and
Reading glasses.
The people often use these glasses as a precautionary
measure against loss of vision. They protect the eyes without altering the
concept or the power of the eyes. Computer glasses are highly recommended for
people who have to sit and work on laptops or computers for a prolonged period.
This protects their eyes from the harmful light or rays of the computer.
Reading glasses reduce the pressure on the eyes due to
continuous reading. They constitute a significant saviour in terms of the
prevention of headaches.
